Who we are
Lulu Thamani is a faith-rooted nonprofit advancing holistic community transformation in underserved rural communities. We work through women and trusted local church leaders to address poverty, injustice, and harmful cultural practices—equipping communities with the spiritual, social, and economic tools needed for lasting change. Our model combines practical development with biblical leadership, creating impact that is sustainable, dignified, and locally owned.
Why Lulu Thamani?
Lulu Thamani was founded around running activities targeting women (18-26 years) from underprivileged communities in Kenya to gain skills and expertise mainly in entrepreneurship and business. In addition, providing information on child nutrition, parenting, emotional intelligence, spirituality and reproductive health information. Our APPROACH is:
- DISCOVER – Find Christ and find identity in Christ through the truth of His word.
- EQUIP – Ensure skills and mindset suitable for community social change.
- IMPACT – Invest in community programs based on individuals skill-set and gifts to achieve Gospel Centred social impact.
Our Programs
We run our programs under two dockets. These are the Malaika Development Program, a “Women’s Entrepreneurship Program” and Rural Women Development Program. We are also planning to launch Entrust by Lulu Thamani which will offer travel solutions and also sell the organization’s products.
We partner with churches and community leaders to meet critical needs that limit women’s dignity and opportunity. Through access to water, health services, education support, leadership advocacy, and volunteer-driven initiatives, we remove barriers that keep women and girls from learning, leading, and providing for their families—strengthening households and the wider community.
We equip rural women with practical business, financial, and digital skills to move from survival to sustainability. By supporting entrepreneurship and income generation, we help families become economically resilient while empowering women to steward resources, expand their reach, and contribute meaningfully to local church and community development.
Entrust provides free, biblically grounded theological training to rural pastors and church leaders who are shaping beliefs and behaviors in their communities. By strengthening doctrine and leadership, we enable churches to challenge harmful practices, advocate for women and families, and lead holistic transformation rooted in truth, compassion, and faith.

We want to work with you in doing "Missions with Purpose" and in empowering young women in entrepreneurship training and helping them start their businesses, working with them to ensure they succeed in their endeavours.
Our Events
We stepped on the field with community members, providing sports skills training, sharing the truth of the Gospel and also building trusting relationships with community members.
At Shimoni, we did bible study and teaching seminars and some revivals but the greater goal was evangelism, seeing people accept the bidding of God and His salvation.
We helped them go to Voi to showcase their talents by leading this fundraising campaign and we raised Ksh. 60,000 for their meals and transportation to and from the school.
